Clare Sports Partnership

The GOYA gang is a project funded by Women in Sport iand set up with the help of  Galway County and Clare Local Sports Partnerships. The gang comprises of a core group of roughly 40 girls, their parents and friends. Their activities are based around the adventure sports of Kayaking, Caving, Rockclimbing, Hillwalking and Orienteering.

In 2009, the TY girls in the group developed an Orienteering package that they taught to the local Primary schools children. It went down a treat.

The group are very active. The success of the group has now been so good, that it has attracted some boys and also an adult section. A website will be launched in winter 2010. For membership details, please call Ailish on 0857030121. There are also some photos on our gallery section.
